Alderson Print Group has invested ?200,000 in Redline 2100 semi-automatic flatbed die-cutting machine to cut its time to market on point-of-sale (POS) materials.
The Redline has mainly been installed by commercial print companies – notably SMP Screen – but Tri-Pack is using the die-cutter to seal the edges of polypropylene packs, using its patented Coolseal process.
With quality, speed and ease of use all sewn up, this machine is claimed to be able to satisfy even the most demanding clients.
Tri-pack plastics, the Grimsby based packaging expert, long known for its pioneering approach to both design and production methods, has stepped-up its production capabilities with the installation of a Diecut Redline semi-automatic flatbed die cutter.
Previously, the company had used a number of hand-fed platens to die-cut its work, but additional work from customers such as Tesco meant it needed a semi-automatic machine.
Diecut UK Ltd the Manchester based machinery supplier has installed a Diecut Redline in the USA. Hinkle Manufacturing based in Perrysburg Ohio have taken delivery of the Redline for their new joint venture start up with Tri-Pack Plastics. This machine has full stripping capabilities and also has specific modifications specially designed by Tri-Pack to help with the cutting and patented edge sealing of plastic corrugated.

Manchester, England-based Diecut UK has confirmed the delivery of the first Redline flat bed die-cutter in the UK. The brand new machine has been sold and installed at Leeds based Kbins, a small parts storage specialist which converts polypropylene and all grades of corrugated.
Diecut UK is marketing new range of semi automatic die-cutting machinery, which is manufactured by BFK in Korea. Steve Waterhouse (former director and share holder at Crosland), has teamed up with his old partner Mr Koo, formally of Youngshin Machinery Korea, and has signed exclusive agency rights to supply the machinery to the European and American market.
With growing demand for the Redline series of semi automatic and fully automatic diecutters, Diecut UK have moved to prestigious new offices in Manchester. Founder and Managing Director of Die Cut UK, Steve Waterhouse, said;
Emmerson Koo, Sales Director of Korea based BFK Co Ltd (represented in the UK by Diecut UK Ltd), have recently installed a flat bed die-cutter in Peru. CMN Grupo Industrial SA, based in Lima has taken delivery of a new BF-1500SF flat bed machine to die-cut all manners of box styles, specifically aimed at agricultural boxes for produce such as asparagus and bananas.
Production of machinery for the for the corrugated industry has started to grow again in South Korea, where domestic sales have begun to recover following a recent upturn in recent economy. Anticipating that export orders also will begin improving as overseas markets start to recover in 2010.
Steve Waterhouse sends us news that he has set up a new company, called Diecut UK Ltd. Having worked for Crosland VK for the last 10 years (the last 5 years as a Director and shareholder), Mr Waterhouse has now decided to set up on his own.
